Display of archaeological finds
Yesterday evening, residents of Stolford and the neighbouring area, enjoyed a talk about the recent excavations at Hinkley Point. The talk was given by Learning & Outreach Officer, Jane Hill, of the South West Heritage Trust. The evening also included a showing of ‘The Folklore of Wick Barrow’ and ‘In Living Memory’. There was also a display of typical archaeological finds, including Roman pottery and animal bone. Over 4,000 years of archaeology and local history covered in one evening!
Thanks go to Stolford local community for their warm reception and interest (and also for the delicious home made sausage rolls and cakes!)
