Half Term Fun at the Somerset Brick and Tile Museum

Last Tuesday saw over 150 people enjoy prehistoric themed activities at the Somerset Brick and Tile Museum, Bridgwater.

Children were able to make a Bronze Age style pot, inspired by the beaker pots found inside Wick Barrow near Hinkley Point.  They also made model Iron Age roundhouses which they took away to paint.  The activities were provided by the Hinkley Point Archaeology Project Learning and Outreach team.

The Brick and Tile Museum is located in East Quay, Bridgwater and is a real gem. If you haven’t been before do make time to visit and find out about the importance of this industry in Bridgwater.  You can even wear a hard hat and enter the kiln!  Ring 01278 426088 for details of opening times.
