On a rather damp and chilly afternoon this week the archaeology team visited Wick Barrow, the late Neolithic/early Bronze Age burial mound located on Wick Moor, near Hinkley Point. The purpose of our visit was to be caught on camera for one of the short films being made on the archaeology of Hinkley Point. The films are directed by Justin Owen who has interviewed many archaeologists working at Hinkley as well as local characters who have farmed here in more recent times. The films will be shown in our forthcoming exhibition ‘Landscapes of Power – The Archaeology and History of Hinkley Point’. This will open on 16 January 2015 at the Museum of Somerset,Taunton.
