EDF Energy, Somerset Heritage Service and Cotswold Archaeology recently joined forces and held an open day on the Cannington by-pass dig. Local residents were able to see the remains of the Roman buildings including the hypocaust underfloor heating system which would have heated a room or possible bath house. They were also able to see archaeologists at work and learn more about the painstaking work of excavation. Further information can be seen by following the link below.
