Last Friday 30 toddlers and their families took part in ‘Magic Pots’ at the Museum of Somerset. The toddlers listened to the story of the Magic Porridge Pot, followed by a communal effort at mark making on slabs of clay using straws, pencils and pottery tools. Inspired by pottery brought out of the stores especially for the day, toddlers made their own little pots to take home. We were very impressed by the finished pots and ‘interesting sculptures’ that the children made. Both childen and parents alike seemed to have a good time, getting messy and being creative!
